Following the events of 9/11, along with friends and family, we created Totes for Hope. Simple handmade Bags sold to raise money for the families that were left behind from the events of that day.
All the Bags sold, additional orders were placed and my passion for fabric and design began.
“This is my 3rd bag from Kelly. The workmanship is outstanding. This bag’s first trip was for a weekend getaway and held all my things. Roomy pockets on interior and exterior for those little extra things like a book. Quick delivery. 10/10 will purchase another bag.”
One day, while carrying one of my bags, I met the owner of The Muse, a shop in downtown Frederick, Maryland, that stocks handmade items from various artists.
After asking me about my bag, one thing led to another and she began carrying my bags in her store. Customers who initially purchased my bags from The Muse have since sought out my boutique, often in search of adding another one of my unique bags to their collection.
After creating Bags off and on for over 15 years, I wanted to expand on my own and create a unique shopping experience. My background in retail management, customer service, merchandising and styling has given me the experience and pleasure of working with many women. I missed that one-on-one interaction.
So, after almost a year of renovations executed by my very handy husband, I debuted my mobile boutique on June 5th, 2021.
Along with my handmade Bags, I added apparel and accessories for you and your home; many made by other artists. I’ve enjoyed connecting with local clients who are passionate about discovering unique, practical items that fit seamlessly into their everyday lives, while also catering to their fun, creative, and confident sides.
You can find me with Stella, our mobile boutique, at festivals, markets, craft shows, wineries, breweries, plus private home and work events in Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
